Neighbourhood policing team
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is a group of Cumbria Police officers dedicated to serving your community by focusing on local crime, disorder and quality of life issues.
We work closely with local authorities, partner agencies, community leaders and residents to decide on policing priorities for your neighbourhood through the Local Focus Hubs.
By working together we aim to find solutions to longstanding local problems while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Cumbria.

Concerns regarding HGV/Vehicles contravening the weight restriction on Castletown , In particular Norfolk and Newton Road. Speeding was also raised in the area

SID has been put on Norfolk road
Letters sent to local business advising them not to contravene the weight restriction
Lorry watch being considered
Consultation with the local highways team - Which they have improved signage -

Vehicle noise and associated anti-social driving at Frenchfields Carleton Penrith

High visible patrols to be conducted

Liaising with WAF Council the land owners regarding target hardening , some of the ASB toolkit already implemented. -

Positive engagement with local business in relation to retail crime

Create a retail event to support local business
New apex radios funded for 12 months and given to penrith shops
Apex radio training days have been held
Numerous arrest for shoplifting with assistance from the shop watch radios and staff -

Issues with loud vehicles being driven antisocially in penrith town . Particularly in the area of Sainsburys and Kilgour street

Multi Agency work with Sainsburys and residents. Also planned enforcement event
Bike lights given to children in the penrith town area when out on dark nights without lihhts
