Named after the river Eden, Eden is a picturesque district with the Pennines laying to the East and the Lake District fells to the west. The district includes the historic market town of Penrith, with market towns and villages on its outskirts, including Appleby and Shap, Langwathby and Pooley Bridge. Boasting some of the most beautiful landscapes in England and a scenic railway dating back to 1862, Eden is steeped in nature and history.
