Profile first adopted on 1st August and remains an active priority
Action taken:
1. High visibility patrols and use of Speed Enforcement Cameras
2. Numerous motorists prosecuted for speeding and vehicle defect offences
3. Speed camera vans to be deployed in the area
4. Speed Indication Device (SID) deployed in Crosby during April 2026. Average speeds were found to be well below the speed limit, however a minority of vehicles were travelling at excess speeds
5. Further speeding enforcement activity planned. -

Police have received increased reports of ASB use of motorcycles in Maryport and Flimby
Action taken:
1. High Visibility Patrols
2. Use of Drone technology to trace and provide evidence illegal and antisocial use of Motorcycles.
3. Use of Section 59 powers to warn drivers and seize vehicles being used in an antisocial manner
