Neighbourhood policing team
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is a group of Cumbria Police officers dedicated to serving your community by focusing on local crime, disorder and quality of life issues.
We work closely with local authorities, partner agencies, community leaders and residents to decide on policing priorities for your neighbourhood through the Local Focus Hubs.
By working together we aim to find solutions to longstanding local problems while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Cumbria.

PCSO Tomlinson has been using the SID to look at speeding around Dalton and has been looking at speeding concerns around the A595 before and after Greenholme and the Brick works, this showed that between the time spent there, there was only one driver that was speeding and words of advice were given.
The SID is now on Brent Ave, Dalton gathering information on speed issues for us to update you at local police desk, council meetings and the website.
CBO Dixon and Wray have also been out in their patch with the speed gun, they have been looking at Brent Ave, A595 Brick Works and Duke Street in Askam. SO far most have been adhering to the speed limits and only one person has been prosecuted for speeding.
They have been out with the rest of the community team and set up spontaneous vehicles stops in and around Dalton, which was successful on getting three cars uplifted for no insurance and some tickets for minor traffic offences, but overall the public that were stopped were grateful for the officers doing these stop checks ensuring that people are driving safety through Dalton and Askam.
