Furness

Furness is a distinctive area of south Cumbria, located on and around the Furness Peninsula. It includes Barrow-in-Furness, Ulverston, Dalton-in-Furness and Askam-in-Furness, alongside Walney Island and surrounding villages. The area is known for its rich industrial and cultural heritage, striking coastline, varied town centres and strong communities. Furness also offers scenic coastal and countryside walks, cycling routes, museums and a wide range of local shops and attractions.
