Cumbria Constabulary is looking to recruit individuals holding a degrees in professional policing into the police constable (PC) role.
To be eligible to apply, you will need to have taken a three-year BSc professional policing programme offered by universities that are licensed and validated to deliver the degree by the College of Policing. You will have just completed your degree and have graduated this summer or will have already previously completed this.
Your application to the role as a police officer will be conditional on graduating successfully with a BSc Professional Policing Degree (pre-join degree). We will need to see a copy of your certificate prior to appointment in the role.
Once you have started with the Constabulary, you will undertake a focused training programme on professional practice which includes the main areas of development of practical skills required for the role.
Please note we require candidates to have a full manual UK driving licence in order to apply.

If you have a policing degree but are unsure if this has been validated by the College of Policing, contact your university to check that this is suitable for applications under the Professional Policing Degree (PPD) graduate entry route.
The average probation period is two years.
