Road Safety has been brought forward in many villages which include but not limited to Welton, Kirkbride, Caldbeck and Dalston.
Action taken:
Through information received from our PACT surveys speeding around rural villages has been highlighted as a concern. We will work with partner agencies where required to support improvement to the highway but will also target speeding motorists and look to prosecute where appropriate. This will be balanced with social media campaigns to promote safer driving. We are also now working with local parish councils to tackle the issue.
