Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is a group of Cumbria Police officers dedicated to serving your community by focusing on local crime, disorder and quality of life issues.
We work closely with local authorities, partner agencies, community leaders and residents to decide on policing priorities for your neighbourhood through the Local Focus Hubs.

This has recently been raised on as ongoing unresolved issue.
Officers are completing regular high-visibility patrols at key times and completing speed checks using calibrated equipment. Those found to be exceeding the speed limit may receive a fine and penalty points. We are also working closely with the safety camera team to ensure they are deployed appropriately.
The local Neighbourhood Policing Team are now also working with a number of local parish councils to tackle the issue with the use of new emerging technology.

Originally raised on 1st December 2025 but recently raised as a continuing issue through the parish council.

Officers are completing regular high-visibility patrols at key times and completing speed checks using calibrated equipment. We are working with our safety camera vans to ensure they deploy to priority locations.
This remains a highlighted concern as of the 1st of December. Officers are continuing to target the area and carrying out enforcement activity.
