Press and Media Enquiries
Cumbria Constabulary has a Media and Communications department, part of this role is to liaise with the media. The opening hours are:
Monday to Thursday: 8am - 5pm
Friday: 8am - 4pm
If you are a member of the media, you can contact a member of the team with an enquiry via email to: [email protected] or via the phone on: 0330 124 0900
So we can help you, please have ready, or include in your email, the following details:
- Your name
- Your telephone number
- Your media organisation
- The crime or incident number you are referring to (if known)
- The incident location
- The incident date
- Your enquiry
- Your deadline date and time
We will endeavour to answer your queries as soon as possible, during opening hours.
We provide a limited out of hours service for urgent enquiries only about an ongoing incidents, via our Command and Control room, via 101.
Please note our officers and staff working in the control room are very busy dealing with operational demands and calls for service from members of the public, and therefore they are unable to deal with general enquiries that are not as time sensitive.
Our Command and Control room do have access, if appropriate to a member of our oncall team 24/7, should they be asked by the Constabulary to deal with urgent media and social media enquiries.
