Cockermouth Priorities

  • Shoplifting
Issue was set on Tuesday, January 3
    • We are working hard to identify and catch those responsible and to encourage the public and businesses to be more vigilant and security conscious. We will work on prevention initiatives and target known offenders and have them brought to justice. We will also proactively promote the Shopwatch and Pubwatch schemes and ask all members to actively and regularly attend meetings. Persistent shoplifters are being issued with Criminal Behaviour Orders from the courts to exclude them from commercial premises.
