Brampton Priorities

  • You Said: Youths need to be engaged.
    Issue was set on Thursday, September 6
    • We Will: 1. Work with partners at Brampton Community Centre 2. Work with outreach workers. 3. Engage youths in the area to divert them into youth provisions 4. High visibility foot patrol by PCSO's and youth workers from the Community Centre to engage the youths. 5. Highlight the events taking place throughout the North area through social media, newsletters and local engagement. 6. Work with hard to reach groups and individuals to divert them into the youth provisions.
  • You Said - Rural thefts and burglaries are occurring
    Issue was set on Thursday, September 6
    • We will: Increase vigilance in the rural community by; 1. Engage with victims offering advice on crime prevention 2. Increase awareness to the rural community through use of Farmwatch. 3. Run regular operations to target suspects in the rural area. 4. Prosecute offenders wherever possible. 5. Conduct Operation Checkpoint with local volunteers. 6. Work with rural businesses and Farmers to increase vigilance
  • You Said: anti-social use of motor vehicles on roads
    Issue was set on Thursday, September 6
    • We Did: Through partnership work we are challenging the use of vehicles by young drivers by; 1. Holding a Road Safety Awareness night on 26th September 2018 2. Targeting young drivers who drive irresponsibly. 3. Educating young drivers on the risks of driving dangerously 4. Targeting drivers who use mobile phones while driving or regularly speed. 5. Workington with partners to challenge driving cultures. 6. Bringing drivers to justice.
