Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), support the work of Cumbria Constabulary by providing a visible and reassuring presence on the streets. You would deal with a wide range of crime and disorder problems.

We are currently recruiting for PCSO's and will provide successful candidates with an exciting opportunity to assist us in tackling crime and anti-social behaviour by community policing.
Whilst the role of a PCSO is demanding and requires high levels of professionalism and dedication, the rewards are significant. Appointing the most talented individuals is essential in helping us achieve our vision and ambitions for the future.

Some of your tasks would include:
Providing support to front line policing; Dealing with minor offences; Dealing with truants, graffiti, abandoned vehicles, litter, missing person enquiries; Confiscating alcohol being consumed in a public place; Supporting and helping victims of crime; Controlling crowds at major events; Providing low-level crime prevention and safety advice in the local community.
You can work full time or part time as a PCSO, and it could lead to a long career with Cumbria Constabulary.
