Cumbria Constabulary is looking for a highly motivated, skilled professional to join a high performance team. A key role of the Assistant Chief Constable is to lead the Constabulary's assets to protect the public of Cumbria working with key stakeholders.
The successful applicant will support the vision and values of the Chief Constable, delivering a community focussed approach to tackling crime and ASB, bringing criminals to justice and increasing the visibility and accessibility of policing services.
Applicants will demonstrate the ability to lead transformational change and improve performance with pace and rigour; the ability to inspire commitment from staff and police officers at all levels; and well-developed strategic thinking with sensitivity to public concerns. Successful candidates will also demonstrate effective networking skills, strong working relations with the police and crime commissioner and strategic partners, with excellence in leadership and management skills.
Candidates must have passed the Senior Police National Assessment Centre and successfully completed the Strategic Command Course.
