PPU Support Officer, Referral Unit, HQ PPU.
To research, provide and quality assure information for the Public Protection Unit (PPU) in relation to Domestic Abuse (DA), Vulnerable Child (VC) and Vulnerable Adult (VA) matters, helping to ensure that information and records are accurate, up to date and available.
In addition the post holder will be required to provide resilience and assistance to the Operation Encompass Scheme within Cumbria Police which aims to inform the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) within an educational setting about incidents whereby a child in their setting has been exposed to domestic abuse or hate incident/crime.
The post holder will also be required to provide resilience and assistance in the administration of the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDS) and the DVDS Panel. This scheme prepares and provides information around the offending background and risk posed to a vulnerable adults and children and is heard at the DVDS Panel which comprises of multi-agency partners and decisions are made around disclsoures to inform vulnerable persons to assist in safeguarding and mitigating risk.
None, however, it would be desirable to have experience and knowledge within the vulnerability and safeguarding.
