Working within Legal Services based at Force Headquarters.
An exciting opportunity to assist Police Officers in keeping Cumbria safe. A wide range of interesting and sometimes challenging legal work will be offered. The main focus will be on safeguarding work including Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Family Court disclosure work, Civil Orders and Firearms licencing.
The role requires regular advocacy in the Criminal and Civil Courts and the provision of practical, time critical advice to Police Officers of all ranks. You will be a strong team player with experience of advocacy and excellent research skills. Knowledge of Police related legislation would be advantageous but training will be provided, particularly if this is a new area of work for you. If you want an appealing new challenge, supporting Cumbria Constabulary in keeping Cumbria safe, this could be the role for you.
