THE JOB:

Applications are invited for the post of Financial Services Officer based at Police Headquarters, Penrith

37 hours per week.  Although the post is based at HQ Penrith, the ability to work in an agile way from home or different forcewide locations for at least part of the working week will be possible as appropriate.

The role of Financial Services Officer is a key member of the Financial Services Team.  The post holder will advise budget holders and management teams on all financial matters.  As a member of the Senior Management Team for the departments/commands they support, the Financial Services Officer has an influential role in the decision making and management of that department/command.  The post holder will ensure that appropriate systems and procedures are developed and maintained to support financial management within the departments/command they support.

The successful applicant should be a fully qualified Accounting Technician (AAT Level 4).

Eligibility:

Part Qualified CCAB / Fully Qualified AAT (L4), or equivalent experience

5 GCSEs (C or above), or equivalent including Mathematics and English Language.

Excellent PC skills, including standard spreadsheet and database applications
