THE JOB:

Use your digital skills to help keep Cumbria safe.

This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic digital marketing professional, or trainee, to join our busy, Marketing and Communications, team at the forefront of public safety.

This role will support the development of our digital channels, online services, enabling the Constabulary to communicate and engage with local communities.

We need you to be enthusiastic, innovative, and able to create engaging contact to raises awareness and understanding of the work the Constabulary does to save lives, tackle and prevent crime, whilst maintaining and improving public confidence. 

We're looking for someone who has a passion and interest in digital communications and enjoys delivering high profile digital projects and campaigns.

You will have experience of developing creative, innovative and engaging content using a range of methods such as graphics, videos and animation packages.

You will have a strong knowledge of current and emerging digital channels and social media applications to help us to deliver new ways for our local communities to access our online services and increase positive local engagement.

Consideration may be given to candidates who meet some, but not all, of the essential criteria to join the team as a Trainee Digital Marketing Officer, with a development / training plan.

Eligibility:

Experience of implementing successful digital communications content and campaigns

Strong knowledge of current and emerging digital channels and social media applications

Experience of developing creative, innovative content using graphics, video animation packages and video editing software

Good report writing skills and ability to analyse information accurately

Experience of updating websites using content management systems

Experience of analysing statistics for use of digital channels, to make recommendations for improvements and developments.

Excellent communications skills and experience of writing / developing content for a range of audiences using a range of communications channels

Ability to work with minimal supervision and deliver accurate work within tight timescales

Experience of delivering digital marketing projects from conception to completion 

Strong interpersonal communications skills
