Police were contacted at 2:06pm today (April 27) following a report of a collision on Crown Street, Cockermouth. 

Involved in the collision was a Ford C-Max and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 90s, has been taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle with serious injuries. 

The driver, a woman in her 70s, was uninjured.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 97 of 27 April.
