Police would like the public to be aware of a report of Palm Oil on the beach by Shore Road, Drigg. The police would ask that the public take care in this area and are reminded that Palm Oil can be toxic to dogs.

Police were called at 11:35am this morning (30th of April) to the report of a clump of Palm Oil being found on the beach. The oil was removed to the car park on Shire Road.

Partner agencies are working to remove the Palm Oil from the area.

The public is advised to keep dogs away from this area until the clean up has been completed.
