A teenager has been further charged in connection with the death of 26-year-old Carlisle man, Lee McKnight.

 

A 17-year-old boy, from Carlisle, appeared at North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court today (16 September) in relation to a previously charged offence of assisting an offender. At court the indictment was amended to murder.

 

He was remanded in custody.

 

Detectives are continuing their investigation into Lee’s death and would like to hear from anyone who has information which may relate to this case.

 

T/Detective Superintendent David Stalker said:

 

“This is a live investigation and we believe there are members of the community who may hold valuable information that could assist in securing justice for Lee and his family. I would encourage anyone who has information to come forward. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can report details via Crimestoppers.”
