John McTear

A man has died following a collision on the Loop Road Whitehaven on Thursday 17th December at around 4:54pm. 

The collision involved two vehicles a Volkswagen Polo and a Citroen Nemo.

Local man, John McTear, aged 85, known to friends and family as Jack, sadly died whilst in intensive care at Royal Victoria Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Jack leaves behind a widow Marjorie, two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. 

Anyone with any information or was in the area at the time that witnessed the collision, particularly those with dash cam footage, then please contact PS 2240 Radzan or PC 2333 Winter on 101 or via quoting log number 131 of the 17th December 2020.
