Assault on Abbey Road, Barrow

?Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault by the bus stop outside the post office on Abbey Road, Barrow.  The incident occurred at 7:15pm on Monday 17th April.

A male involved has been described as tanned, with blond hair and wearing a light coloured t-shirt.

Building site burglaries, Carlisle

?Police are investigating two burglaries which occurred at the McKnights building sites in Aglionby and Wetheral between 4:30 pm on 14th April and 8:00 am on 15th April 2017. Heavy duty tools have been used to gain entry to containers, and tools stolen from within.

A vehicle has been used to travel to and from the sites, and to transport stolen property.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity around the building sites, or who has heard vehicles in the area while the sites were closed.

Suspicious activity, Penrith

?Police are investigating a report of suspicious behaviour that occurred in the Castle Hill area of Penrith over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. Garden items such as trough planters have been the target of attention.

Although no items have been stolen, it is a timely reminder to householders as they restock garden containers, to be aware of the potential vulnerability of such items and report any thefts or suspicious activity to the police.

Stolen handbag, Bowness

?Cumbria police are investigating the theft of a ladies black shoulder bag. The bag was stolen from The Ship Inn, Glebe Road, Bowness, on Sunday, 16th April 2017. Contained in the handbag amongst other personal items were two boxes of medication. If any member of the public comes across these items they can be handed in at any police station.

Theft of pushbike, Carlisle

?Police are investigating the theft of a blue Apollo pushbike, which was taken from outside the Elim Community Church Charity Shop, Stonegarth, Carlisle around 2:50pm on Tuesday, 18th April 2017.

The cycle has distinctive silver cow horn handlebars.
