Cumbria Youth Offending Service is a multi-agency team , created by the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and made up of a range of statutory and other key partners. The team is made up of Police, Social Worker, Health, Education, National Probation Service and generic Youth Offending Service (YOS) officers.

In MARAC YOS can provide information on work that is or has been undertaken with the young person and their families. This could include both the perpetrator and victim. To help safeguard children in the family the YOS have a parenting officer who could offer support and advice, also YOS can offer support and advice to the children.
