Our Turning the Spotlight service is an innovate service we have been delivering in Cumbria since 2015. We offer extensive support to families or individuals having difficulties in their relationship, experiencing or causing harm and abuse.

It is for couples with or without children who may or may not be remaining in a relationships where standard or medium risk conflict violence and abuse has been identified.

Our programme is designed to prevent abusive behaviour developing as opposed to addressing entrenched abusive behaviour directly and supports clients with the general challenges and conflicts that may lead to patterns of behaviour that are negative and ultimately abusive.  Turning the Spotlight looks at healthy relationships and how to maintain one while helping to address the wider needs that may be impacting on their relationship

We do this through a mixture of 1:1 and group work programmes for both the perpetrator and partner -

  • 12 week healthy relationship programme for perpetrators
  • 7 week partner support programme
  • 4 week parenting course to support them to understand the impact on children and how to minimise this.

You can email the TTS team on turningthespotlight@victimsupport.org.uk or telephone 07919393311.
