Cumbria and Lancashire Community Rehabilitation Company are responsible for the management of medium and low risk offenders who have been made subject of court orders - custodial and community sentences.

We are involved in MARAC by way of the sharing of information in regards to risk issues for those supervised by us as well as giving factual information in regards to the specific sentence imposed and the progress the individual has made in relation to reducing their risk.

Predominantly our work tends to be with the perpetrator of abuse and therefore the support we can give to safeguard the victim and any children is to engage the perpetrator in meaningful work to address the pattern of behaviour/risk - this can be done by completing 1-1 work with the individual or group work. If the perpetrator has been made subject of the Building Better Relationships accredited programme as part of their court order then support is offered to the victim and/or current partner of the perpetrator by our Women Safety Worker team who advise on the content of the programme and give advice on safety planning and signposting to local agencies for support
