Eden Housing Association carries out the statutory homelessness and housing advice service on behalf of Eden District Council.  The team provides specialist housing advice and assistance, temporary accommodation and explores future housing options.  We also have a Crisis and Prevention Support Worker who is part of the County Wide Domestic Abuse Partnership (DAP).  This is a qualified IDSVA, providing specialist advice and support to those who are at risk of homelessness and experiencing domestic abuse within Eden.

In MARAC we share information on:

  • Housing history
  • Damage to property
  • Support provided
  • Detail of ASB complaints
  • Details of liaison with other agencies
  • Information on disclosures

In MARAC we can offer to support those experiencing/fleeing abuse (if they are also at risk of homelessness), provide temporary accommodation, offer housing advice and assistance, arrange repairs to property and offer assistance with Cumbria Choice and applying for alternative housing
