At Allerdale Borough Council we can offer the following:

  • Crisis intervention and access to secure emergency accommodation
  • Personalised help and support to address any immediate safeguarding and longer term rehousing needs
  • Advocacy support working with key partners
  • Access to personal and community safety interventions

We have the housing options team and a Crisis and Support Officer who are dedicated to supporting all victims of domestic abuse.

In MARAC we provide information with regards to any practical support being offered or accepted, any support plan that is in place and current CBL info including banding/ bidding and offers.

We can offer actions such as a housing options appointment if they haven't already had one to discuss their options. If the individual is an open case we can take actions such as encouraging bidding on CBL, assess banding on CBL, liaise with landlords on their behalf, referral to Crisis and prevention officer etc.
