Action for Children Furness Sure Start Children's Centres are commissioned by Cumbria County Council to deliver a range of services across the Barrow and Dalton area for families with children ages 0-12.

Our Early Help children and family hubs play an important role in providing children across our communities the best start in life and their parents the support they need.

Our services range from Targeted Programmes  (e.g. The Recovery Toolkit - a 12 week programme for women who have experienced Domestic Abuse; Triple P Parenting Programme and Helping Hands - a 10 week programme that supports children's understanding of such things as feeling safe, promoting positive behaviours and developing their emotional resilience); 1-to-1 Child/Family Support, Children's Centre Services and Furness Child Contact Centre.
