The family of Stacey Mackie who sadly died in hospital after sustaining burns in her Kendal home have paid tribute to a woman who was ‘one of a kind’.
A spokesperson said on behalf of the family: "We are devastated by our loss, words can’t describe how we feel. We are finding it difficult to come to terms with how someone could do this to a person like Stacey, she truly was one of a kind. She took everyone for what they were and never had a bad word to say about anybody. Night and God Bless pet. Xxxxxx"
Police and fire crews were called to Ms Mackie’s home in Crag View, Kendal at 00:05 on Friday 27th January.
Following the incident, 35-yr-old Stacey Mackie was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and later transferred to Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester, where she sadly died on Friday afternoon.
