Hensingham
Following this being raised by the local community as a problem this area was targeted by patrols and a zero tolerance approach was taken to anti social behaviour. We also worked alongside local housing providers and our other partners to tackle the problem on a more longer term basis. As a result the incidents have dropped significantly and although been removed as a priority for the area will continue to closely monitor over the next few months.
Speeding Vehicles
This issue was raised along with drivers parking on the clearway on the approach to Jericho School. Over the last 3 months officers have targeted the area at school opening and closing times initially to advice and warn drivers of bad driving and parking and the dangers of such around a school. Latterly enforcement by means of issuing of fixed penalties and reporting to court. Again this issue has been removed as a priority but will continue to be monitored and action taken where needed over the next few months.

The way 101 works is based on geographic location, so calling from anywhere in Cumbria your call is prioritised to be routed to our Communication centre. Calls made by mobiles are based on zones/masts depending on the mobile network provider.
Mirehouse
Recently there have been reports of graffiti in the newly painted CASTLE Arch by WASDALE Close. A lot of hard work has gone into getting it repainted and brightened up for the good of the community and visiting cyclists doing the coast to coast yet a few people seem content on vandalising it by tagging their names on it. Any offenders will be dealt with robustly.
