The next Safer Stronger Community (SSC) priority meeting
We asked at your last SSC meeting what your local priorities were - You said
Antisocial behaviour caused by youths between 17.00 hrs-22.00hrs in the square area boundaried by Bath St, Hartington St, Nelson St and Blake St.
These are community priorities that local people in your area have agreed with the Neighbourhood
Police. You can influence priorities by attending your next local meeting and informing
your NPT what crimes need clearing up in your area.
We did - action taken or planned to tackle your priorities
- Antisocial behaviour caused by youths between 17.00 hrs-22.00hrs in the square area boundaried by Bath St, Hartington St, Nelson St and Blake St.
The Hindpool team have been out on patrol at key times in an effort to tackle youth nuisance and anti social behaviour.
There were a number of youths who who identified as causing damage to Brisbane Park School, they have been dealt with by means of a restorative justice process. This involved a community style clean up on Hindpool which resulted in an area being aesthetically improved.
The start of the school holidays has been fairly quiet for the residents as there has only been 7 calls for service for youth disorder over the past month. The Hindpool team continues to work closely with the Borough Housing Dept in an effort to tackle some problematic tenants who cause trouble for their neighbours. As well as the prospect of criminal prosecutions there is an option to terminate those tenants who fail to comply with their tenacy agreements.
