Scrap Metal thefts - Copeland

Recently due to the high values available for copper and lead we have seen an increase in scrap metal thefts across the Copeland area; in particular, lead is being stolen from school roofs causing additional damage to the buildings during periods of wet weather. Cumbria Police are asking residents to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately on 101. Thank you!

Heating Oil and Diesel thefts - Copeland

Due to the recent increase in the cost of fuel, Cumbria Police are warning local businesses and residents who may possess heating oil or diesel tanks that they ensure they are properly secured with locks to prevent this type of crime.

Neighbourhood Watch

Copeland NPT are keen to recruit Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators. The Scheme enables Police and the local Community to work together in partnership to prevent, deter and detect crime and anti social behaviour. Locally, interest and participation has increased and if you are interested in becoming a part of neighbourhood watch or would like further information on the different schemes available (i.e. Farm Watch) please contact your local Community Officer.
