These are community priorities that local people in your area have agreed with the Neighbourhood Police. You can influence priorities by attending your next local meeting and informing your NPT what crimes need clearing up in your area.

  1. Anti-Social Behaviour (10-17 Year olds) on The Devonshire Road Estate

    At the Safer Stronger Community Meeting on 28th June The Devonshire Road Estate was chosen to remain as the new community priority.

    August- Planned Actions

    We will visit residents in the area to find out what your concerns are in more detail.
    Acting on your concerns we will step up police patrols and deal positively with offenders of any age.
    We will make use of our powers to confiscate alcohol.
    We will deal with young offenders through our its your choice scheme, restorative justice and when necessary the criminal courts.

Burglary  Compared with 4 in June there were NO burgalries in July. Please continue to lock your doors, outhouses and cars. Lock them or risk losing them.

Criminal Damage There were 21 incidents of criminal damage in the area. 7 were to business premises, 5 to dwellings and 9 to vehicles. this is mindless vandalism and needs to be challenged. To do this we need your help to identify offenders so if you know anything please get in touch.

Theft From Motor Vehicles There were two incidents to note. one where a car window was smashed and a handbag stolen. Please make an effort to remove valuables from view and dont make it easy for the opportunist thief. The second was a set of hubcaps from a car parked on Hartland Rd.

Theft Of Motor Vehicles  Agian a scooter was the vehicle stolen from highfield Rd but later recovered. more recently a fiat motor home was stolen from high Lea Walk. This is registered number G673 NHG. If you see it please contact the police as a matter of urgency.

Anti-social Behaviour Youth related disorder has gone down from 33 in May to 28 in June up slightly from 29 in April to 33 in May. It is now back down to 27.  The priority area had 5 calls for service. Other areas still receiving Police attention include Grantley Road, Abbey Road and Barrow Park.

Drugs Please report any suspicious activity to us and we will do the rest.

Arrests In this area there were were 19 arrests in July. These included 3 for assaults; 4 for criminal damage; and 5 for warrants issued by the courts.

Opening Times

The Barrow Police Station, Market Street, is open 08:00am until midnight every day.

The police station will be closed on the dates and times listed below during September we apologise for any inconvenience.

Access Details

Barrow Police station has full wheelchair access to the front counter. Blue badge holders can park on Market Street from where there is level access to the entrance. An induction loop system is in place for the hard of hearing.

There is no disabled toilet facility at this station.
