Aspatria
In July 2010 there were 12 offences committed in the ward. The brief details of these offences are that there was an attempt fraud of £4500.00 at Aspatria Post Office. The offenders were arrested and are currently on police bail. A person was assaulted on Thursday, 1st July 2010 on Outgang Road, Aspatria. This investigation is currently on-going. On Sunday, 4th July 2010 a pedal cycle was stolen from Arkleby Road. On Saturday, 10th July 2010 property was damaged at Ellen Garth, Aspatria. A person was arrested for these offences. A pedal cycle was stolen from Harriston on Tuesday, 13th July 2010. On Sunday, 18th July 2010 a person was assaulted at the Sun Inn, King Street, Aspatria. This investigation is on-going. On Wednesday, 21st July 2010 a masonry saw was stolen from a vehicle on North Road, Aspatria. On Wednesday, 21st July 2010 two persons committed an offence under S.4 Public Order Act 1986 and have been charged with that offence, which will be dealt with before the local courts. On Monday, 19th July 2010 a garden shed window at Harriston was also damaged. On Thursday, 29th July 2010 an offender was arrested for committing assaults and being in possession of an offensive weapon. This person has been charged with those offences.
An investigation in the firing of air weapons at the Duck Pond at Ellen Garth at the end of June 2010 has commenced. During the incident it is said that some ducks have been shot and this matter is now under investigation.

The ward saw fifteen reports of anti-social behaviour. These related to disputes between adults, complaints over loud music, youths playing football, the moving of property, complaints over motor cycles and over a dog attack. All issues were dealt with appropriately.
Members of the public should be aware that the police will be paying attention to the Brandraw car park and any persons found depositing litter, committing drugs offences, alcohol related offences or a Public Order Offence may be subject of a prosecution.
Boltons
July 2010 saw three offences being committed in the ward. These included the theft of diesel from Mealsgate Thursday, 8th July 2010. Officers are now making checks in this and across North Allerdale for persons involved in the theft of diesel. An incident during which a youth was assaulted at Ireby will be resolved using the Restorative Justice Program. An offender responsible for an assault also at Ireby has been interviewed and the offence will be considered by the Criminal Justice Unit.
Tow incidents of anti-social behaviour consisted of a dispute between neighbours and a potential abandoned vehicle, which had in fact broken down.
Solway
In July 2010 there was no reported crime in the ward and only one incident of anti-social behaviour that concerned people trying to assist a drunken neighbour.
Wharrels

Members of the public are also advised that they can now purchase shed alarms at a reasonable price from any Age Concern shop in West Cumbria. The alarms are effective and will help reduce and prevent burglary in West Cumbria.
Police would like to warn the rural community that there has been an increase in people touting for scrap metal in the North Allerdale policing area. We would urge anybody with large amounts of metal lying around to consider taking it to a scrap dealer or ensure the security of the scrap by locking the items away. Please note down any registration numbers of persons cold calling at your farm and these details on to your local officer.
In recent weeks there has been an increase in the theft of diesel in our area. Should any person or persons or vehicles be seen in suspicious circumstances then it is requested they report any issues to the police.
