The police service will make every effort to accommodate its officers’ needs and will not discriminate against anyone on cultural or religious grounds. 

If you wear a particular type of headdress and you’re worried about whether you would be able to continue wearing it as a police officer, please talk it through with the Recruiting Officer. A key consideration will be whether your safety as an officer would be compromised in any way and, if so, how this could be resolved.
