Respect is one of Cumbria Police’s main messages which it promotes. It aims to tackle bad (anti-social) behaviour in Cumbria.

To achieve this lots of different ideas are used to make people remember this very important message.

The campaign started in 2006 and the idea behind all the promotions is to make people think about the meaning of Respect. Bad behaviour is disrespectful and can harm other people so the campaign uses the words 'Give Respect Get Respect' to promote the concept that you should treat other people how you wish to be treated yourself.
