How to Report a Crime

There are five main ways that you can report a crime:

If it is an emergency situation such as a life or death situation or the crime is in progress dial 999
If it is a non-emergency situation, call 0845 33 00 247 and speak to one of our Communications Operators
Contact your local Neighbourhood Policing Team. If you're not sure who they are, type your postcode into the search facility on the right hand side of this page
Call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 - Crimestoppers is a completely independent organisation which allows you to provide details of a crime without revealing your identity - all you have to do is provide as much information as you can about the crime
Visit your local police station
