Responsible for Intelligence, Crime Operations, and Public Protection.

Iain was born in Whitehaven and joined Cumbria Constabulary in 1983 and was first stationed at Barrow.
During his career he has performed a variety of roles around the County in both Uniform and the Criminal Investigation Department.
Iain is now the head of the Criminal Investigation Department for the Constabulary. As such he is responsible for the departments who work to tackle the most serious crimes including Public Protection Units, Serious and Organised Crime Unit, Major Investigation Unit, Forensic and Scientific Services and Counter Terrorism.
