A Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) is a multi-agency group set up as a result of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. Its purpose is to co-ordinate activity between agencies to tackle crime, drugs and anti-social behaviour issues in a local area most effectively. Members of the partnership include the Police, the Police Authority, the County and District Councils, Primary Care Trusts, and the Fire and Rescue Service.
Each CDRP, which is normally chaired by a senior representative of one of these agencies, agrees an annual plan, outlining the priorities that the partnership will focus on over the next year. This is informed by analysing all the available local data on crime, drugs and anti-social behaviour in order to establish priorities.
