Cumbria Police Authority is responsible for the overseeing of the police service in Cumbria. In addition to its primary oversight role, it has responsibility for approving the overall framework of delegation, accountability and control in which the Constabulary operates, including procurement.

The Standing Orders in Relating to Contracts are the rules the Constabulary applies when entering into any contracts on behalf of the Authority.
